Operation

1. Blocks are introduced manually or via a book block feeder with spine leading onto the belt feeding system of the EASYTRIM Single Knife Trimmer, flushly registered against a backgauge, pressed by a bar, facetrimmed and introduced into the infeed channel of the perfect binder. The cycle timing is taken from the binder/coverer to ensure sychronisation. This way the time and cost consuming second pass otherwise necessary to produce soft cover books with protruding cover fore-edges can be eliminated. Thanks to its large size range also multiple-up production is possible. Easy set up enables economic short runs.

2. The EASYTRIM will trim off the bound backbone of book blocks behind three knife trimmers to produce loose-leaf blocks.

Machine Configuration

Top and bottom belt infeed, registering, pressing and face trimming station, motorised belt transfer into the infeed channel of the perfect binder/coverer resp. other downstream equipment.
